Advisory Committee

The ORMAP advisory committee advises the Department of Revenue on the administration of ORMAP and the public's needs related to the development of the base map system.

The advisory committee represents the stakeholders of the base map system including state, local, federal, public, and private sectors.

The committee is a public body that follows public meeting laws including giving notice of meetings, keeping records of proceedings, being accessible to the public, and making decisions in a public forum.

The committee meets on a semi-annual basis in spring and fall of each year to review project progress and advise the department on ORMAP policy concerns.

Technical Group

The ORMAP technical committee is a voluntary group made up of representatives of the stakeholders of the base map system including state, local, federal, public, and private areas. Vendors are welcome to participate in a nonvoting, non decision-making role. The group advises the department on technical issues, policy concerns, grant applications, and goals for the ORMAP project.

Grant Review

The group reviews all grant proposals before they are presented for approval to the Department of Revenue. The committee uses the following criteria when reviewing proposals:

The grant application must:

• Demonstrate a successful process
• Have a completion timeframe not to exceed one year
• Have a reasonable and measurable deliverable

The group will then review the priority scoring given each grant application by the department. The group meets during each review period. The current review periods occur in the spring and fall of each year.
