  • ORMAP Tech Group Mailing List
  • There is a new mailing group for the ORMAP Technical Group through the State of Oregon's State Library. This mailing list will be use to make announcement pertaining to the ORMAP Tech Group and other general announcements relating to the ORMAP Project.   • Updated Tax Maps
  • ORMAP has completed its quarterly update of the county tax maps on the site.  [Posted May 1, 2007]
  • Approved ORMAP Grants
  • The ORMAP grants that have been approved for the Spring 2007 funding cycle are now posted on the ORMAP site under the approved grants page. Approved Spring 2007 Grants   [Posted April 26, 2007]
  • ORMAP Online Business Plans Changes
  • On March 12, 2007, the ORMAP web staff moved the online ORMAP business plans from the Jackson County website, where they were hosted for the past 3 years. The business plans now reside on the ORMAP web server. New login and password information has been distributed to the counties and they should be updating the information soon.   • ORMAP Spring 2007 Grant Applications
  • The spring 2007 ORMAP grant applications are now posted on the proposed grants page . These grant applications are open for review and comment. If you have any questions or comments please forward them to the ORMAP Project Coordinator at or.map@state.or.us .   • ESRI/ORMAP Parcel Data Model
  • The ESRI/ORMAP Parcel Data Model information has been moved from the Jackson County website (smartmap.org) to the ORMAP site, ESRI/ORMAP .   • ORMAP Goals and Vision
  • In reviewing the current status of ORMAP work within each county, it became apparent that meeting the current goal 4 objectives was not realistic. At the recommendation of the Advisory Committee, ORMAP has modified the definition of the current Goal 4, and has developed two new goals that better reflect what is achievable over the next several years.   • ORMAP Technical Specifications
  • The Advisory Committee has approved the new ORMAP Technical Specifications. These new specifications will provide more clarity and direction to counties in documenting their data and verifying that it meets identified standards.   [Posted October 23, 2006]
  • ORMAP Mapping Methodology
  • The Advisory Committee has approved the ORMAP Mapping Methodology. This document establishes the critical elements that need to be present in order to improve the likelihood that counties will meet the current technical specifications for taxmap production.  [Posted October 23, 2006]
  • ORMAP Exception Areas
  • The Advisory Committee has approved the concept of "Exception Areas" for the ORMAP data. These are areas within a county that have no current business or economic need to be mapped to the ORMAP technical specifications. Please see the ORMAP Reliability Code document.   [Posted October 23, 2006]
  • ORMAP Goal 1 Images (PDFs)
  • The ORMAP Goal 1 Images have been updated for the 3rd quarter of 2006. The new taxmap images are available at the Maps Online page.   [Posted October 23, 2006]

  • Website Usage Statistics

  • Data Structure Page Changes

  • 2nd Quarter County Assessor’s Maps
  • The Goal 1 (PDF) images of the Assessor’s Maps have been updated.  [Posted July 24, 2006]
  • Maps Online! Update
  • The Maps Online! page has been updated to include the Goal 2 shapefiles for the entire state. The Goal 2 shapefile is a polygon file of all of the taxlots within the state. This was used to improve the search capabilities and look of the site. You can now zoom into the individual taxlots.  [Posted July 1, 2006]
